Week 3

We didn’t do that much other that find information. Ibu Esti told me to find information. I did, but I think I need to ask Donna if it’s right. Sometimes people go to places and interview people for the exhibition.

I have made some questions. We will also go to cathedral so we can interview someone who has been in conflict in a church. Abraham didn’t submit his work, but at least I did! I sticked the comic onto astro paper.

We also went to Febrian’s house to make art homework (making label). The labels were made from styrafoam. On Tuesday we met our parent mentor, Angie’s mom. She gave us the idea about going to cathedral.

Journal Week 4

       Ibu Esti told us on Friday that conflict is not to die, sometimes you just need to avoid misscomunication. Sometimes, people become jealous that others have better education, so Ibu Esti said we can work together with Chiessa’s group for the action, like donating stationary and books to schools.

      We also painted the steirafoam peices. We also did the questionare but Ibu Ester said we did it too early so we canceled. 

Exhibition Journal Week 2

We didn’t do that much other that find information. Ibu Esti also asked us what interested us in joining our group. Mine was jealousy, because jealousy normally starts conflict. Ibu Emmi also tought us a technique for making paper flowers. I also made a comic. The other group members also made a poster, a publisher file, a poem, and an essay. I know that Febrian doesn’t like me that much, and he doesn’t do much work, but I am willing to work with him. I will accept it even if he doesn’t. Ibu Esti also said in the previous week: “Your teacher mentors aren’t going to be your moms.”, even if Ibu Indri IS infact Kyla’s mentor and mom. We almost got our central idea. The central idea explains the problem and issue in one detailed sentance. We also filled in step 3 where we have to choose 3 boxes to fiil in with phrases or questions related to our topic. All the group leaders went to the Victoria Plus School exhibition to find out more and observe the exhibition. Last year, on grade four, we went to SPH’s exhibition. Sometimes people go to places and interview people for the exhibition.

Exhibition Journal Week 1

We’re planning our first step. My group is about war upon villages and it’s impact on nature. As it is, the villagers can steal their enemy’s crops allowing the enemy to starve. They also do this because of jealousy to the enemy’s natural recources. Sometimes the water gets poisoned and stuff.

 Ibu Emmi is helping us make paper decoration for our stand. Febrian normally plays and when he gives an idea it’s an idea we already wrote.abraham plays just a bit, but he still helps. I think Febrian is trying, though.Donna is agoode and recourcful leader.

 She works really well! Angie also works hard and helps the group on information. I lioke to think of ideas and say the thoughts is my mind. We’ve also picked out some quotes and we used them as goals.

 We also made a letter to an imaginary friend in BI (Bahasa Indonesia) that describes the first week’s achievements. We collected some newspaper related to our topic. We made a ‘details tree’ and a KWLH (Know, wonder, and learnt). The details tree is all about thethings going on about our issue.

 We filled in some boxes with the issues and real-life cases. We also got a teacher mentor, Ibu Ester! We made a mentor meeting schedule since Ibu Ester is also a teacher and maybe we won’t see her all the time. I even bought a file organizer like our portfolios.
